ICT80415 Graduate Diploma of Telecommunication Network Engineering

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for individuals in strategic and operational leadership roles in the technology domain. The individual provides domain thought leadership; assesses best possible and commercially viable telecommunications networks and systems solutions and services; plans changes to networks and systems in line with business strategy and enterprise product and technology roadmaps; analyses potential and real network problems; and develops innovative, commercially advantageous solutions.

 

The individual is a recognised authority and trusted business advisor for delivering tomorrow’s solutions as well as optimisation of current network system performance and customer satisfaction. Research, analysis, design, development and deployment of technical and commercially viable solutions for: cloud computing, digital signal processing, cellular and satellite systems and telecommunications networks are requirements of the individual.

Academic Entry Requirement:
Applicants into this program must have completed a Bachelor degree in a related field of study and have two (2) years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of project or program leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise. Alternative Academic Entry Requirements:
Applicants must have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in a related field of study and have three (3) years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of project or program leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.

English Language Requirements:
The applicant must have sufficient proficiency in English to be able to work successfully in a highly communicative environment. The college may ask the domestic student to sit an English language (writing, speaking, listening and reading) test to verify their English language proficiency.

  • IELTS: Overall band score of 6.0
  • IBT (Internet-based TOEFL): Overall score of 75 with a writing section minimum of 21
  • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): Grades A, B, C and C1
  • Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): Total score of 52 or over
  • English for Academic Purposes (EAP 2): Grade A or Grade B
  • PTE Academic Module with score over 51
  • Certificate IV in ESL

 

Alternative English Entry Requirements:

Students may be accepted if they have successfully completed a Vocational qualification at a Certificate IV level or above in Australia, or completed year 12 or secondary studies in applicants home country equivalent to an Australian 12 qualification. Students can otherwise demonstrate the required minimum English proficiency.
Those who do not meet the English requirements can be referred to English Language Centre to complete Intensive Courses in English prior to commencing their award courses at ECA Graduate Insitute. The length of these English courses varies, typically from 4 to 20 weeks. After completion of the ELICOS course, the students may be requested to sit for an ECA Graduate Insitute placement test.
