Applicants into this program must have completed a Bachelor's degree; or other higher education qualification, with relevant vocational practice in an engineering related role.
Alternative Academic Entry Requirements:
Applicants must have completed an Advanced Diploma of Engineering or a Diploma of Engineering, or a relevant Certificate IV or Certificate III together with significant relevant vocational practice in an engineering related role.
English Language Requirements:
The applicant must have sufficient proficiency in English to be able to work successfully in a highly communicative environment.
The college may ask the domestic student to sit an English language test (writing, speaking, listening and reading) to verify their English language proficiency.
Alternative English Entry Requirements:
Students may be accepted if they have successfully completed a Vocational qualification at a Certificate IV level or above in Australia or completed year 12 or secondary studies in applicants home country equivalent to an Australian 12 qualification. Students can otherwise demonstrate the required minimum English proficiency.
Those who do not meet the English requirements can be referred to English Language Centre to complete Intensive Courses in English prior to commencing their award courses at ECA Graduate Institute. The length of these English courses varies, typically from 4 to 20 weeks. After completion of the ELICOS course, the students may be requested to sit for an ECA Graduate Institute placement test.
